Centro En_Lazos /2017
A community center that works as a shelter in the event of a natural phenomenon such as a hurricane. Situated in the coastal town of Cataño, Puerto Rico, the site of the project is at risk of flooding, so it incorporated a type of ramp to move people in the event of extreme flooding. Two L-shaped volumes wrap around a central patio like a ribbon. Both of its facades are raised for an uninterrupted passage through and to house sleeping spaces away from water damage in case of a flood. This project was designed together with the student Paola Miranda.
